A First for Houston Writer Susan Burnell - Two Bylined Sections in Forbes

HOUSTON (November 15, 2007) — Houston-based writer Susan H. Burnell, APR researched and wrote two bylined special
advertising sections that appear in the same issue of Forbes magazine. "
The Alabama Advantage" follows page 110 and
"
Executive Guide to Meetings: What CEOs Need to Know" follows page 124 in the November 26, 2007 issue.

"Business success stories in the advertorial format are an effective way for advertisers to reach 900,000 Forbes readers in
North America," said Burnell. "Learning and telling those stories in a compelling way is one of the most exciting things I
do."

The Alabama piece promotes economic development throughout the state. It quotes Alabama government and business
leaders including Governor Bob Riley, and reports on the growth of such companies as Mercedes-Benz and German
steelmaker ThyssenKrupp AG.

For the Executive Guide to Meetings, Burnell met with members of the Destination Marketing Association International at the
group's annual conference in Pittsburgh. She followed up with phone interviews of convention and visitors bureau leaders
and gathered examples of innovative solutions provided by CVBs.

Burnell has written Forbes special advertising sections since 2000. Among her other writing and public relations clients are
American Legacy, The Wall Street Journal and The Menninger Clinic. Burnell is an accredited public relations professional
(APR). She is 2007-2008 president of  the Houston chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators.
